Here at Kind Cow UK I ensure to put the environment into consideration.
Here are just some of the little things I do to make a difference:
Materials:
I ensure all paper/card is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified. This means that all the trees used in my paper/card have come from sustainably managed forests which do not have a negative environmental or social impact on our planet.
Bookmarks / Affirmation Cards:
Printed onto quality 350gsm dove recycled card, made using 100% recycled pulp to provide a highly sustainable product.
Bio Plastic Cellophane:
Due to the nature of some of my products, cellophane is required to best protect the artwork from damage during transit.
I protect all wall art prints and affirmation cards using a biodegradable/compostable cellophane which can be recycled in your local supermarket or home composting heap/bin if you have one.
(Please note - this does not go into your main plastics recycling box)
Wall Art Prints:
My wall art prints are made using a professional grade 230gsm archival matt paper, to obtain a high quality image that will not fade or damage over time like some lower quality papers. This is to ensure the longevity of the print which may in hand prevent waste. It is also FSC Certified.
Paper:
All regular paper used within orders (such as receipts, packing slips etc) is printed on Zero carbon paper. This means that the emissions generated during manufacture has been compensated.
ECOLOGI:
I am proud to be working with Ecologi in their worldwide reforestation projects. 'Healthy trees sequester CO2, making them climate champions from the moment they’re planted.'
Every order will help to fund projects worldwide - Planting trees and restoring habitats.
I feel it's so important to take climate action where possible to help our planet, restore habitats and take care of our beautiful world.
